FACILITIES

Adell Plastics was incorporated in 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland.  It was started by the present ownership and is a privately held corporation.
Adell offers Werner & Pfleiderer twin screw compounding services ranging in size from 57mm to 130mm.
Adell has the ability to provide product by strand pelletizing, water ring pelletizing, hot face cutting, strip dicing, and underwater pelletizing.  Moisture sensitive products are cooled on a stainless steel belt conveyor.
Blending is performed with Henschel mixers and ribbon blenders, a 200,000 lbs. blending silo is also available.
All twin screw extruders are fed by gravimetric feeders.  Multiple feeders are interlocked.  Multi-port addition of feed streams is available.
Liquid additives are fed via gear or diaphragm pumps.
Extrusion processes are monitored by data acquisition systems.  Continuous computer surveillance of the compounding operation assures uniformity of product.

Adell has extensive Engineering facilities designed to adapt equipment to specialized situations, to design equipment where commercial sources are unavailable, and to improve and automate existing production equipment.

With three domestic production plants, Adell can serve either service customers regionally or can service its customers from more than one facility.  With Adell's wide range of equipment and large staff of developmental engineers, Adell has the flexibility to respond rapidly to the changing needs and requirements of its customers.
